Effortlessly sharing your screen on Telegram during a video call is a simple task, whether you’re on your mobile device or desktop/laptop. Here’s the process:

On your phone:

Initiate a video call by opening the Telegram app and selecting the desired contact(s). While in the video call, locate the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the screen.

Choose “Share Screen” by tapping on the three dots and selecting the appropriate option from the menu that appears. Depending on your phone model and Android version, you may encounter a confirmation prompt or be directly presented with choices like “Share entire screen” or “Share specific window.”

If you opt for “Share entire screen,” everything on your phone screen will be visible to the other callers. Alternatively, selecting “Share specific window” allows you to share only a particular app or section of your screen, which is beneficial for showcasing presentations, documents, or specific conversations.

Once you’ve made your selection, tap “Start Broadcast” (or a similar option based on your device) to commence screen sharing. To conclude the screen sharing session, tap the red “Stop Broadcast” (or equivalent) button at the top of the screen.

On your desktop/laptop:

Initiate a video call on the Telegram desktop app or web version by selecting the desired contact(s). Within the video call window, position your mouse cursor over the camera icon located in the bottom left corner.

Access the menu by hovering over the camera icon and click on “Screencast” among the available options. A new window will emerge, displaying thumbnails of all open windows on your computer. Choose the screen you wish to share by clicking on its thumbnail.

Commence screen sharing by clicking “Share Screen.” To conclude the sharing session, click the red “Stop Screencast” button within the video call window when you have finished.

Important things to keep in mind

When sharing your entire phone screen, be aware that other callers will observe and hear any notifications you receive. To minimize distractions, consider silencing your phone or muting notifications during the call.

On your desktop or laptop, you can minimize the Telegram app while sharing your screen, allowing the chosen screen to stay visible to other callers.

Ensure a stable internet connection to guarantee seamless screen sharing.
